Formed in the late 2000's, Athens, Greece based Scar Of The Sun have been making a name for themselves throughout Europe with their fresh take on modern, atmospheric metal. 

After playing numerous shows and festivals throughout Greece and the surrounding region, including a brief run with Dark Tranquility and Insomnium, the group caught the attention of Italian label Scarlet Records, who released their debut full length  A Series Of Unfortunate Concurrencies, which was produced produced by Rhys Fulber (Fear Factory, Machine Head, Paradise Lost),  in 2011. The album quickly propelled the band into the spotlight and saw Scar of the Sun touring extensively throughout Europe alongside the likes of Dark Tranquility, Insomnium, Rage, Tyr, Pain, Moonspell, and Swallow the Sun. 

The band released their follow up album In Flood, produced again by Rhys Fulber, mixed by S. Koliousis (Keep of Kalessin, Kvelertak), and engineered by band vocalist Terry Nikas (Septicflesh, Nightrage), in 2016. The record saw Scar of the Sun truly finding their voice, and they supported its release with a tour of the UK and Europe alongside Firewind and Manimal.

Scar of the Sun is currently gearing up to unleash their third and indisputably best album Inertia onto the world in 2019. At once heavier and catchier, with more massive hooks and a songwriting maturity honed through more than a decade together, their new record will surely propel the group to the top of the metal world.
